MEET ROBERT HAMMOND
Robert Hammond was born and raised in Orange County. He became a Christian in 1977 while attending Orange High School. After graduating from high school in 1979, Robert volunteered for the United States Marine Corps in 1980 and served with Ronald Reagan as his Commander-in-Chief. Robert was a Combat Engineer and was the assistant platoon leader of his training detachment. Looking for additional leadership opportunities, he completed his military service at Marine Corps Air Station El Toro in 1984.
In 1986, Robert attended Fullerton College where he helped to re-start Young Americans for Freedom. Among his responsibilities was the task of helping to organize and to bring conservative speakers to the college twice a year. After graduating from Fullerton College, Robert attended the University of La Verne in 1989 and graduated two years later with a Bachelor’s degree in communications. While attending the university and continuing after graduation, Robert worked with Focus on the Family in helping to produce their radio shows in both English and Spanish.
Starting in 1987, Robert worked as a referee for youth, high school, travel ball, and college level sports. He continues to referee and helps coach for the youth as a way to give back to and support the community.
Robert embarked on a teaching career in 1993 and taught Special Education for six years. He finished teaching with a 5th grade Structured English Immersion class in Santa Ana. After this, Robert moved into a support role for teachers by training teachers and working with parents on teaching reading to students. Robert also spent time in teaching adults how to read. Robert and his wife, Dawn, started a non-profit organization in northern California dedicated to teaching children and adults how to read and improve their writing.
Robert and Dawn have two children, an eleven-year-old son and an eight-year-old daughter. Robert and his son are in their second year of participating in Cub Scouts where Robert serves as the Assistant Webelos II Den Leader.
Only by working together with community leaders does Robert believe we can make positive changes while protecting our freedoms.
There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily.

You may be whatever you resolve to be.
Never take counsel of your fears.
It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians, not on religion, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here.
~ Patrick Henry
Laws control the lesser man... Right conduct controls the greater one.
