ROBERT HAMMOND FOR 69th CALIFORNIA ASSEMBLY DISTRICT

We Californians have a state fiscal crisis brought about by elected representatives' irresponsibility with our regulatory structure, forcing our state to live beyond its means. We need a state representative with a business background who understands how to be honest with what the people entrust to their representatives and the common sense to not spend beyond the limits of our state budget. Californians need a representative who can make good decisions on issues which greatly affect all of us in California.

THE ISSUES (IN BRIEF)

TAXES

We aim to provide tax breaks for both individuals and businesses by cutting payroll taxes, cutting capital gains tax, cutting the sales tax in half, and reducing the vehicle registration taxes. Reducing taxes will result in jobs and economic growth.
PROPERTY OWNERSHIP
Roll back Property Taxes for home owners to be the same as those who enjoy the benefits and protection of Prop 13.

EDUCATION TO INCLUDE FREE ENTERPRISE

Pass a bill mandating teaching Middle and High School students about starting and running a business and the many benefits that are available to them through business ownership.
FAIR COMPENSATION FOR REPRESENTATIVES

Reduce salaries for elected Legislative and Executive officials by twenty-five percent (25%), eliminate the $170/day state Senate and Assembly per diem, move the Legislature to part time, and use the savings to help balance the state budget.

EDUCATION TO INCLUDE VOCATIONAL TRAINING

Increase vocational training in high schools to give our students more options in career paths.
